Free Bus services – Bus #15

Just when you thought that things can't get any cheaper in Bangkok, the land of smiles is offering FREE bus services on certain days and time. I took Bus #15 most of the time from Khao San Rd to Siam (Town) thus that saves me a few pennies. The free travel only applies to non air conditioned metro buses. These are the Red or White with green strip buses directly owned by the BMTA. The reason for doing so is that they are scrapping the old non-aircon bus and replace it with new aircon bus. In favor of the inflation and to please the Thai citizens for the more expensive bus rides to come, they are offering a sweet teaser to prevent the complaints for the high fuel charges. Well, I’m not complaining as it comes in such a right time. ;)
