Day 1 - Preparation to come...

As I'm taking the alternative route of traveling to Chiang Mai from KL since it's a cheaper alternative. (I save almost $50 by flying from KL) My bus trip from Larkin Bus Interchange provides me an opportunity to make full use of the four and a half hour journey to refresh my itinerary. I’m bringing this guide book with me throughout this journey. It’s the most informative and budget conscious guide book on Thailand I’ve ever come across. Also, I got acquainted with this new friend of mine, Fendi from KL, I know on the bus.

He advises me how I can walk from PuduRaya bus terminal (KL) to Jalan Bukit Bintan (Sungei Wong). We chit chatted for an hour before I alight in searching for my Puujangga Homestay guest house; It’s a 2 storey decent guest house. Since it’s only for a day, I opt for a dorm room for RM$28. Then I realize for a 6 person dorm room, there is only 1 person staying together with me.

I've been to KL a few times. Even though at times, shopping can be a pleasure but mostly, it's not as good compare to shopping in Bangkok. Most of the shops or streets are a galore of "Beng's Wear or flashy Lian’s wear so to kill my time, I catch a movie at Berjaya Times Square instead.

The movie, "The happening" is expected after reading most of the bad reviews given by the press. Thank goodness, I only pay RM$10 for a movie ticket which is around S$4.30. Surprisingly, this is the second time I'm watching M. Night Shyamalan's movie in KL. The first was "The Water Lady which I've seen with my sister. That shows that his movie is only worth my S$4.30 price. ;) After a day of wandering around the Malaysia capital, KL, I'm ready for what's next to come.

Till then, time out!
